Brian's Birthday Party!
The birthday boy with his cake and presents!
For dinner we had Cafe Rio-esk Salad!! While we wore our Jimmy Neutron 3D classes so we could look at our cool napkins and see the world in rainbow (as the girls said).
Brian's Race Car cake!!
Complete with a BMW race car that kinda of looks like Brian's race car and Race track inspired by the Ridge Motorsports Raceway in Shelton (where Brian was on his birthday). Okay, so just a few corners of the track, since the track is really so much bigger.
Side note: Did you know that i am (used to be) the worlds worst rice crispy treat maker. Well i totally was, I know, who can mess up the simplest treat of rice crispy's? It was me. When i made them before they always turned out rock hard, it was awful. So when Brian requested rice crispy treats for his birthday this year and not the traditional cheesecake i was concerned. But a little Google searching and i am now the best at making rice crispy treats!! They were so so so so soft!!!! and they tasted great! And i had fun making them into a track, complete with a fondant road! It was the fastest birthday cake i had ever made. SUCCESS!!!
The party goers!!
Yes, Rock is in the picture, he is peeking out behind Tes.
We had a Jimmy Neutron/Car Race theme!
Thank you to Jenna for the fabulous Jimmy Neutron supplies!!! (do you remember giving those to me back at college when i loved Jimmy Neutron!? I found them in my college box as i was cleaning out the garage!! I thought of you during the party!)
Brian & the kids opening presents!
He got some awful magnets that really didn't work (sorry that was my fault, I did buy them in the kid section), a sleeping bag that will fit a 6'5" Brian and it rolls up really small!, and we got him a GoPro camera!!! That he can use to video on his race car or when he goes mountain biking!
H. family tradition, lighting your own candles. However, we let him use the lighter.
Dalia loves to turn off all the lights in the house when it is time to light the candles!
All 34 candles lit, oh wait, i think i spot a candle that is not lit. I guess Brian is still 33.
Happy Happy Birthday to Brian! We had fun celebrating him!
After the party Brian taught Tes how to make a paper airplane. Tes folded her airplane all by herself. It was her homework for preschool. The next day at preschool each kid was supposed to bring a paper airplane to school. Tesi's plane won the "Highest Flying" Airplane!
