Big Four Ice Caves - June 30, 2010

Big Four Ice Caves!
June 30, 2010! Happy Birthday to Uncle Tyler! and it is the last day of June! The last day of June also marks the last day to use our year long hiking pass that we bought last June. So in honor of Tyler and to make sure we get our money's worth out of our hiking pass Brian took the day off work and we went hiking!!

What a great day we had! The girls started off at home modeling their new "Water Bottles!" that they get to carry when we hike! They are really excited about them and i am too!! It was a long drive out to Big Four. It was the farthest that we have now driven on the Mountain Loop Highway. When we finally got there we were ready for lunch. At the parking lot they have some really nice picnic tables and a great view of the Big Four Mountain! And there is the site of where the old resort used to be before it burnt down. The only thing left is the fireplace.

After lunch we started are hike to the Ice Caves! It is about a 2 mile round trip hike and mostly flat. So it is fairly easy. I figure this would be the easiest hike we would probably go on and that Tesila should be able to walk it herself. Tesila had different plans. That little girl is very stubborn. It is either her way or no way. I have a very hard time convincing her to do things. Dalia on the other hand is quite easy to convince. Dalia did great hiking!! She carried her water bottle the entire way and even her backpack. Dalia enjoyed collecting sticks, of course. Tesila walked for a bit and then sat down to pout. So daddy carried her on his shoulders. Later he put Tes down and i was walking with Tes and Brian was walking with Dalia. Shortly after we started walking Tes started to pout, but i wouldn't pick her up. So she just laid down on the trail and cried. I started to walk up the trail, Tes got up, but instead of walking toward me she started walking back down the trail with a big smile on her face. She is so sneaky! So of course i had to go back and get her. As soon as i got to her she sat down again. This went on for sometime until somehow i made her walk and when we got to daddy she of course asked to be carried and he of course carried her. That Daddy loves his Tes and he just can't say no to that sweet little face.

It was a very pretty hike, lots of cool plants and trees covered in moss. We got to the ice caves and walked up to the cave to feel the cool air! It was cold by the caves and the water was dripping down like it was raining. We played around the caves for a little bit and then it got too cold. The hike down was less eventful then the hike up. But we did take longer because the girls kept wanting to stop for breaks! We sure enjoy hiking as a family! Tes gets really excited about hiking! But she still thinks she needs to be carried everywhere.
We are sure glad that Brian decided to take the day off! We had a great day and can't wait to buy our new hiking pass to go on more hikes!

Toy Story Date - June 25, 2010

Toy Story Date with Dad & Mom!! Toy Story 3 came out last weekend! So this weekend we took the girls on a date to see the movie! We first went to Ruby's Diner for dinner, which is a fun 50's style diner. The girls got paper cars to play with and they loved them. I had a yummy shake!! We also stopped off at the mall before the movie and Dalia found this chair to dance on. She is always dancing. Brian started making "music" (by humming) and she danced away!! Then we went to the theater for the movie!! They girls were so excited! Dalia got scared whenever the little monkey with the symbols was on the screen and would say, "the monkey's scary" and she would cover her eyes with her jacket.

Earlier that day Dalia dressed up in a beautiful Princess dress complete with gold gloves and a crown! She also got a hold of my camera and took many pictures of random things. This "Self Portrait" of her being my favorite!

Mukilteo Beach - June 24, 2010

Playgroup at Mukilteo Beach
We love going to the beach!! and what better way to welcome us home then going to the beach!! We love throwing rocks in the water and sometimes wading in the water (that is usually Dalia). Tes doesn't like walking down by the water on the rocks, she likes to be carried (that is why she is crying in the picture). Today some of our friends found little starfish and they were nice enough to let us hold one of them! Dalia carried around her red bucket and collected "shells!!" Mostly broken pieces of shells, but shells none the less. Her friend Preston thought he would help her out and started putting rocks in her bucket. She quickly threw the rocks out and told Preston in a stern voice, "Only put shells in the bucket!" I sure love the beach here! I love Washington!!
Here is a video of Tesila singing while she sings. She is singing her favorite song: "I know you" from Sleeping Beauty!

Callie's Kitchen-Bye Utah - June 22, 2010

While visiting Callie I helped her add some color to her kitchen!! I love to paint and a when i found out i was coming to stay with her i told her i wanted to help her paint her kitchen. Callie had chosen this great blue color!! After our little girls were asleep for the night we cleaned the kitchen and taped everything off. Then the next night we painted!! After that we made some cute little curtains in yellow lemon print fabric (which matches the apron i made her for Christmas!). Her kitchen colors are blue and yellow if you hadn't guessed already. I love love love the blue that she chose!! Her kitchen is so bright and happy now! thank you Callie for letting me help you with your kitchen! i hope you love it as much as i do and i really really love it!! Thank you family for spending time with us! A special Thank you to Callie!! for being so wonderful in taking us where ever we wanted to go and spending practically every single minute of our trip with us! We love Callie!! and baby Raylie too!!

Grandma Carolyn drove us to the airport and sent us on our way today back to Seattle! It was hard saying goodbye but we were excited to get home and to see Brian! Dalia and Tes loved seeing the planes! When we got on the plane they enjoyed looking at all the reading material in the seatback pockets. As we were getting ready for take off Dalia asked me if she could watch a movie. I told her when we got in the air that she could. Just a few minutes later as we were still ascending Dalia's feel asleep. I slowly laid her head on my lap and she slept the entire flight. Tesila was a different story. Tes didn't hold still the entire flight. She kept moving her tray table up and down. Then kicking the table. Then she was taking her seat belt on and off. Then she was on the chair then on the floor. She also kept moving her horse "Pirate" around and neighing him and then buckling and unbuckling him.

In Seattle the girls saw there daddy and they both started running for him with arms out stretched! Brian picked both of them up in his arms and carried them. They were the happiest little girls! They sure missed their daddy. Then we all went out to eat at 'RedMill Burgers' in Queen Anne! Yum!! It was so good to be home. To smell the Washington air, to walk into my house, to sleep in my nice bed, to hug and kiss my husband! And as i looked out my bedroom window i saw a sea of white flowers all over the blackberry bushes. Blackberry season is coming! It is sure good to be home!

Sugar House Park - June 21, 2010

Picnic at Sugar House Park!!!
Rayson, Callie, Raylie, Britni, Dalia, Tes, Grandma Carolyn, and Jami came!! We ate yummy food, played at the playground, walked around the park, saw a little waterfall and a creek, walked over a bridge, saw Britni's favorite tree and climbed it! (Brian and i climbed this tree when we were dating), fed the ducks! um, i mean the seagulls! the ducks swam away from us when we tried tossing them some bread, but the seagulls came from everywhere for the bread. We were so lucky to be able to spend sometime with uncle Rayson! Dalia and Tes love their uncle Rayson! They especially love to watch Cartoon movies with him all cuddled up on the couch!
Oh yes, Dalia and the potato. While we were packing our lunch Dalia got a potato out of the pantry and Aunt Callie told Dalia that she could take it to the park. So Dalia brought the potato and went and sat on the playground with her potato. There she cuddled her potato very tight giving it a hug and a kiss and then just sat with her potato. Odd, yes i know.
That night we went out to dinner with Grandpa Lane to Cafe Rio!! Yum! Then back to Callie & Rayson's house for one more sleep over before we head home to see our daddy tomorrow.

Father's Day - June 20, 2010

Father's day we were away from our Daddy. But we were lucky enough to be surrounded by other dad's! My dad!! (Papa!), my brother Ed, and Callie's hubby Rayson!! (who got back yesterday from out of town work, he was gone almost 2 weeks). Me and the girls went to church with Callie, Rayson, & Raylie. At church Dalia asked if Raylie was getting a blessing. After church Callie and I made dinner and a yummy German Chocolate Cake (Rayson & my Dad's favorite! (Mine too!)) Then my Dad, Jerry, Erin, Ava, Brennan, Rayson, Callie, Raylie, Jami, Me, Dalia, & Tes got together for Father's Day dinner at the G's! The girls enjoyed playing dress up! Jerry and Rayson watched some TV. Jerry of course played with his Iphone. We lounged about in the living room where it got too hot. So we then ran around in the backyard that was shaded! I'm glad that we got to spend father's day together. We sure missed Brian! Maybe next year we will be with him on father's day. (we weren't with Brian last year on father's day either, am i so terrible!?)

Brian! Happy Father's Day! - June 20, 2010

Happy Father's Day!! to Daddy Brian!!!

June 18, 2010

Today we had fun playing at Aunt Charla's house!! Camie, Lachlyn, Cheyenne, Brody, Bryant, Boston, Callie, & Raylie were there to play with us!! We also got to see Jessica for a few minutes before she headed off to work. Cheyenne played outside with the kids as they played in the sprinklers!! Camie helped Callie and I make cute flowers clips. Dalia came in and made a bead necklace. It wouldn't be Aunt Charla's house without some type of craft being made. Dalia and Tes had fun "taking pictures" of each other as they jumped on the trampoline. Tes would stand on the side of the tramp while Dalia jumped and pretend to take Dalia's picture. Then they would switch and Dalia would take the picture while Tes jumped! I wonder where they learned this from.
Camie's husband JD came home and Dalia just loved him instantly. She kept calling him "the boy!" She wanted to jump on the tramp with 'the boy.' And that night when she talked to her dad on the phone she just told him about the boy JD.
Back at Callie's house we had a picnic dinner on her deck! and then started painting her kitchen!!

G&G C. - June 17, 2010

I always love going to my G&G C's house and today was no different. My Grandma invited a bunch of my cousins and their kids over for lunch! It was so fun! We ate lunch in the backyard and had all kinds of good food to eat. Including Popsicles after lunch! We played in the backyard mostly. I had fun talking with my cousins and watching our kids play. I was amazed how much their boys loved digging up bugs and worms. My girls were content to play in the little fountain, run around the grass, swing on the tree swing, draw with side walk chalk. But those boys dug for bugs the entire time.

After most of the cousins left Cousin Heather (who was living with G&G at the time) took the girls downstairs to play. Dalia and Tes came upstairs all dressed up in Heather's cute clothes, shoes, jewelery, and hair accessories! Cousin Heather is the best!! They have so much fun playing with her! Later Dalia & Tes were found playing on Grandpa's piano. Grandpa tried teaching Dalia some real songs, but all Dalia continued to play were her own creations. Below are some videos of Dalia and Tes on the piano.

Later in the evening Grandma, Callie, Heather, and I were talking in the back room by the kitchen. Grandpa was in the living room watching something on the TV. I believe it was Little Mermaid. Anyhow, Dalia and Tes were wandering around the house and i just assumed that they had both started to watch the movie with Grandpa. A little while later Dalia pokes her head around the corner and all i see is RED all over her face! My first thought was she must be hurt. Then she walked closer with a sad face, but not crying, the sad face where she knows she did something wrong. As she got closer i could smell lipstick. I asked her if she was playing with makeup and she said yes. Then she lifted up her shirt to show me that she had applied it to her tummy as well and then pointed to her legs where they where all red with lipstick too and then she turned around to show me the red lipstick on the back of her legs and a little on her back. Wow!
She then took us into Grandma's room where she had found the lipstick on Grandma's dresser and then applied it all over her body until the lipstick broke in half and fell on the floor. It was mostly just on her rug, a little on the carpet, and some on a blanket. We then put Dalia in the tub to clean her off. I scrubbed and scrubbed Dalia's skin and it still didn't come off completely. She even had lipstick stuck in her belly button that i couldn't get out. When i did get her out of the tub there was a thick red ring around the tub. So i had to clean the tub too. Dalia is pretty sneaky. That is her new thing to do, find makeup and apply it all over her self.
Here is Grandpa and his "Puppet Theater." I believe he is calling it, "The Suki Puppet Theater!" He is getting ready for his puppet showcase in October where he will put on Puppet shows every Monday night in October for "Family Away from Home Evening!" I sure wish we could be there in October for the puppet shows. But i had fun today visiting with my Grandpa in his puppet theater that he build and it is still in the process of being finished. He has some great ideas for finishing it. One he wants to have stained glass on the door and i think the window too. There are also some hidden "Mickeys!" and i believe that there will be more hidden Mickey's. I enjoyed listening to Grandpa talk about keeping kids safe, the church and the pharisees of the church, and his puppet theater. Grandpa's number one rule about kids is to first keep them Safe! He told me some stories about him and his kids. One in particular about my mom.

Grandpa told me when his kids were little and they lived on a farm he was plowing the field and giving each kid a turn to ride on the tractor. The kid would sit in the seat and Grandpa would ride standing next to them on the tractor as the big plow would roll behind them. As my mom's turn was over he picked her up and set her on the ground then picked up the next kid and set them on the tractor seat and started to move forward with the tractor. Only a few seconds later he realized that he hadn't waited and watched to make sure that my mom was out of the way of the tractor and the big plow in the back. He stopped and didn't want to turn around, afraid that he had just ran over his little girl with the plow. He looked back and gratefully saw my mom running right next to the plow barely missing being ran over. He talked about that day and being so disappointed in himself for not waiting. and about the what if's!? What if she tripped and fell, what if she just stood there to watch the tractor instead of running out of the way? He merely was telling me to be careful in every situation. He had just forgot to wait for a few seconds, but was so blessed that nothing horrible happened from his not waiting. But he realizes how awful the situation could have been.

As i was leaving the puppet theater i noticed a scare crow sitting on a lawn chair in front of the puppet window, staring right at the window. I asked Grandpa what this scare crow was doing and Grandpa said, "Why he's waiting for the show. He has been waiting there since last October (2009) when the last puppet show ended." That scare crow is sure one dedicated fan! My Grandpa is so funny! He always has so much to say and so many interesting theories. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for such a great day!

Salt Lake - June 16, 2010

We spent today with Grandma Carolyn!
We took a walk around Temple Square and saw the beautiful flowers. We of course walked around the Salt Lake Temple. Dalia and Tes played in the fountain a little bit, just swished their hands around. Brian specifically told me on the phone this morning, "Britni, let them play in the fountain." It was a windy day and quite cold. So we stepped into the Tabernacle to get warm. Someone was playing the organ and it was very loud. Dalia really like it. Tes didn't. Then we walked over to the visitor center and saw the Statue of Christ.

At Grandma's we had a picnic lunch! And played with Grandma's new toys! Later Ava & Brennan came over. So we got a a Grandkid picture with Grandma Carolyn.
For dinner tonight we had: Mom, Lane, Jerry, Erin, Ava, Brennan, Britni, Dalia, Tesila, Callie, Raylie, & Jami.

Then we went swimming at Grandma's apartment pool! Do you see the huge family picture behind the three little girls standing in the hall? That is the group picture we took in November 2009 with all the Ho. family. After swimming we of course had dessert! Then Dalia & Ava had a sleepover just the two of them at Grandma & Grandpa Ho's house! They had a lot of fun!!

Papa's House - June 15, 2010

We had fun playing at Grandpa's house today! Britni & Callie organized a lot of things, hung up his pictures, and bought him a shelf for Father's day to put all his CD's and movies on! His living room looks much more inviting now. We had a picnic lunch in the backyard under his big shade tree. Britni got a hair cut. Then we waved goodbye to Grandpa and us girls (Callie, Raylie, Britni, Dalia, & Tesila) headed up north to stay at Callie's house for a few days.

On our way to Callie's we stopped off to get some cupcakes, Yum!! Then back at Callie's Dalia asked if she could lay by Raylie! Wow, this is a surprise because the last week Dalia hasn't wanted anything to do with Raylie. Dalia seems scared of Raylie. Tes always is willing to do anything to help Raylie even if she isn't asked. Here Tes asked to hold Raylie and of course Tes needed to give Raylie her binky. Here is Britni and her new outfit and hair cut! And Callie and her sweet baby!

Animal Farm - June 14, 2010

Thanksgiving Point Animal Farm!
We had a lot of fun at the Animal Farm! It was a hot day! The kids enjoyed seeing all the animals and feeding them too! There were these little play houses for them to play in. They played, sung, and danced in the houses for at least half and hour. They could have stayed there all day! Then we played in the kid zone inside to take a break from the heat. Dalia, Ava, & Tes got to go on a pony ride! They all loved it! They are Rodeo Queens in the making!

Tesila loves horses! She really enjoyed seeing the horses. I love the picture of her face as she is looking at a horse. Her eyes are just sparkling and she has the cutest little smirk of a smile. She looks so content! Tes really like riding the horsey!

Brennan's Blessing - June 13, 2010

Today my nephew Brennan was blessed! I was so glad that i got to be there for it and that Erin asked me to make him a tie! He looked adorable in his blessing attire! After the blessing we had a picnic at a near by park. The rain held out long enough for us to enjoy our picnic. As we were cleaning up it began to pour! Happy Blessing Day Brennan!

Fireworks.Papa's-June 12, 2010

Today we were going to go to Orem Fest, but it rained! We didn't feel like walking around in the rain all day. So Callie, Raylie, Britni, Dalia, Tes, & Jami went to the Mall to go shopping!! It was Raylie's first trip to the mall and her first time using her cool blue stroller!! She had fun, she slept almost the entire time.

The rain had stopped in the afternoon just in time for the Orem Fest Firework show! We went over to my Dad's old house to watch the fireworks from his old driveway. We had a great view! This was his last time watching fireworks from his old house since he is selling it in the next few weeks. Then we invited Ava over to Papa's new house for a cousin movie night of "Princess and the Frog!" The girls had a lot of fun playing with everything in the TV room as they watched their movie!

Ava, Brennan, & Raylie - June 11, 2010

Today was cloudy and rainy, just what we are used to in Washington. We spent the day playing at Ava's house and in her backyard. She has a trampoline to play on and a power wheels jeep to drive around her backyard (courtesy of her neighbors). Ava isn't timid at all about driving the little jeep. She wasn't too good at steering though. Good thing Grandpa was there to pull them out of places and get them driving the right direction again. Dalia liked to drive it too, but was a little more cautious then Ava was.

Later we went to "Purple Turtle" for ice cream!! I remember going to purple turtle when i was little and always getting a 'bubble gum' shake. We played dress up back at Ava's! Then we left the three little girls with Grandpa and Uncle Jerry while Callie, Erin, Britni, Brennan, & Raylie went to the fabric store!! Then back at Erin's house we made a baby Tie for Brennan to wear for his blessing this coming sunday! We had a fun day despite the rainy weather.

A. Family - June 10, 2010

Today we were able to go and visit my Grandparents who have recently moved to Nephi, Utah to live with my Uncle Bob & Aunt Debbie. The girls had fun playing with cousin Staci's old Polly Pockets and play food!! Callie, Dad, & I had a good time visiting with Grandma. Tesila was afraid of Great Grandpa. Great Grandpa started to make this duck sounding quack in hopes that Tesila would like it, but i think it scared her even more. Dalia seemed to like it though.

Later that night we went back to Orem and had a BBQ over at my cousin Kristin's place. It was good to see Kristin and her family, husband Tyler and daughter Emma. I always enjoy talking with Kristin, i sure wish we could spend more time together. When i saw her she only had a couple of weeks left in her pregnancy. Her new baby boy Israel should be born soon! Dalia & Tes loved playing with their cousin Emma. Dalia especially enjoyed pushing a little cart around in the backyard. When i asked her what she was doing she told me she was "mowing the lawn!"

Cousins! - June 9, 2010

Last night we stayed at Callie's new house. It is so homey there, i love it! I loved the happy feeling i had being at her house with the sweet smell of the summer breeze blowing through the opened windows. However, we did miss Uncle Rayson who left to California for work the day before we came (he is supposed to be gone for 2 weeks).
Tes & Dalia gave Raylie a Baby Sleeping Beauty Doll. I think Dalia & Tes like the doll better than Raylie does, but i'm sure one day she will love it! Since being around Raylie for only a day Tesila is an even better mommy to her little baby doll. She loves baby Raylie and likes to help put Raylie's binky in Raylie's mouth our the baby dolls.

Today we headed down to Orem to see the rest of my family! We met our other new cousin Brennan who was born in February!! It was so fun seeing the babies!! We got a cousin picture (this is the best one we could get) of all 5 cousins!! It was fun having them together. Dalia and Ava just love each other so much, it is fun to see them together!! We got some pizza's and snacks and had a picnic at Scera Park and played at the playground! We saw Papa, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Erin, Ava, Brennan, Aunt Callie, Raylie, & Aunt Jami! It was a perfect start to our trip!

Off to Utah - June 8, 2010

We love the airport! We had lunch with G&G C. & G&G Ho. Dalia loves seeing the "fish" that are stuck in the floor and she likes to find the "airplane fish!" In the plane the girls loved looking out the window and cuddling with their little animals. Dalia brought her gray kitty "Abigail," and Tes brought her brown horse "Pirate." I loved the view we had from flying away from Seattle. If you look closely you can see downtown Seattle amongst all the water. Of course we brought our stick figure daddy along. He had fun riding on Pirate during our flight! Tes started to get a little restless during our flight and since i know have a laptop they were able to watch a movie! They enjoyed the movie even if Tesa's face in the picture looks unhappy.

We landed safely in Utah! Where we were greeted by our newest cousin, baby Raylie and her mama Aunt Callie!! Hooray! we are so excited to spend the new little while holding and getting to know Raylie!! Thank you Callie for coming to pick us up and showing off your sweet baby!

Right away Dalia was unsure of Raylie. As we were loading up in Callie's car Raylie stared to cry, a lot. Dalia sat in the back seat of the car holding her ears and saying, "She's a whinny girl."

Dalia.Coloring.Pictures - June 8, 2010

Dalia Coloring: Check out how i found Dalia coloring; concentration eyes, tongue stuck out to one side, crayon held tightly in one hand, and coloring ever so slowly and carefully! That is exactly how Grandpa C. taught her to color the other night! She was coloring a birthday card for her friend Emmaleigh and it was time to go to the party so i told her i would help her finish coloring in the leaf of the flower. I started to color and she told me to slow down, i was coloring too fast!

Family Pictures!
Here is our little family with my Grandparents & Parents right before Brian took us to the airport to fly to Utah. I am so glad that my Grandparents were able to come and stay the weekend at my home(I'm glad my mom and Lane were able to come too!). I so enjoyed having them here. I loved talking to my Grandpa about this and that. My Grandpa has a lot of neat theory's and thoughts. He was also working on writing his most recent puppets shows that he will be performing at his Puppet Theater in October. I had fun listening to him write about his Snow White puppet show. I also got in trouble. The first night they were here i started to pick up a pile of toys and Grandpa looked straight at me and said, "Stop that." My Grandpa is wise. He told me that if i keep doing that for my kids they won't learn to clean up after themselves. I do believe that is true. I need to not be so lazy and do things myself. I think i am doing better. I also love talking with my Grandma about sewing, Washington, trips she has been on, things that she has done, and family. If you ever want to know anything about my family you just talk to my Grandma and you find it all out. It helps me stay in the loop, since i don't live close to my extended family. I love my Grandparents and i'm so glad that i got to have them here for a weekend!

The second picture is a four generation picture of the girls!!

Mukilteo.Beach - June 5, 2010

I love Mukilteo Beach! It is so pretty with the blue sky, blue water, Sail Boats, Islands, Rocky Shore, watching Dalia throw rocks in the water (Brian threw a rock in the water and a few seconds later a scuba divers head popped out of the water, opps).

Today was beautiful! We spent the day at Mukilteo Beach with Mom & Lane, G&G C., our family, & Linc's family! We had lunch and lots of snacks, threw rocks, waded in the water, played on the playground, flew a horse kite, chased the kite string when one of the kids let go of it, watched the train go by, watched the ferry go back and forth, saw a seal, played with Lane's Ipad, Grandpa played chess on the Ipad. It was a fun day! I love the beach!

Swim.Castle.Color - June 4, 2010

June 2nd: Was Dalia's last day of her Swimming Lessons for this summer. She loves to go to her swim class. She does pretty well in the water until she gets a life jacket on. As soon as she gets her life jacket on she clings to her teacher like an extra limb. She holds on to her teacher for dear life and whines with fright if her teacher tries to pull her away. I don't think she understands that she will float. We need to work on that this summer.

June 3rd: Grocery Shopping Day! After we unloaded all the grocery bags into the house I began to put the groceries away. Dalia and Tesila started to take the groceries out of the bags. However, they were not putting them away. They began to stack the groceries and form a circle. They made a castle! They got their little princess Jasmine to be the queen of the castle. They made her a door and played with the castle for at least an hour. These girls are very creative!

June 4th: Today my mom & Lane and my Grandpa & Grandma C. came to visit! We went out to Alfy's Pizza for dinner with Linc & Carrie's family! When we got back home Grandpa C. & Dalia sat down to color! Grandpa C. loves to color! He has his own coloring books (that not just anyone can color in, and they are of Mickey Mouse of course!) and crayons. As Grandpa sat down to color with Dalia he began to "teach" her how to color! A very important skill. He taught her how to 'sharpen' her crayons, which she found fascinating. He taught her to stick her tongue out of the corner of her mouth just slightly. He taught her to 'color slowly.' And that having your tongue out will help you to color slowly, because if you start to color too fast you will bite you tongue and know to slow down.

June 5th: Dalia had lot of fun coloring with Grandpa C. last night. I woke up this morning from Tesila yelling, "MaMa!" for me to come and get her out of her crib. I went into the girls room to get Tesila out of her crib and noticed that Dalia wasn't in her bed. So i went back to my room to look in my bed, and found no Dalia. Where was she. I hurried downstairs and found a smiley little Dalia cuddled up on the couch with a pillow and blanket. I asked her what she was doing here on the couch. She told me, "I'm waiting for Grandpa to color." Grandpa was still in his room sleeping and Dalia was patiently waiting for him to wake up so they could color together. What a sweet girl. What a fun Grandpa!

Planting.Flowers - June 1, 2010

Me and the girls had fun planting flowers! We planted pots to sit on the deck, sit on the windowsills, hang on the eves, and in the new window box on the playhouse!
The night before Dalia & i went to the store to pick out flowers! We were looking at the mini Dahlia's and saw this little red one and noticed that it is called "Dahlietta Tessy." So of course we had to get that one. It represents my two little girls, Dalia & Tesi!! The girls love the red one and Dalia likes to point out that it is her and Tesi. We also got some cute little 'purple' (the tag says blue, but they look purple) flowers called "Callie," I had to get that one too for my sister Callie!

After we were done planting the girls were playing in the backyard while i was making lunch in the kitchen. While i was making lunch i heard a scream followed by a very loud 'i am hurt' cry. I ran outside to find Tesila at the bottom of the deck stairs (which is only 2 steps) with her little push bike on top of her and her little head smashed into the rough concrete. I picked her up and began to cuddle her and noticed that her lip was bleeding. I took her into the bathroom to clean up her lip when i watched this huge goose egg appear on her forehead. Blood appeared at the surface, but it didn't bleed. Tes was so hurt and scared that her she was crying so hard which made her breath funny. Which started to scare me. I called Brian and he helped me to calm down. Then i just cuddled Tes for a few minutes and she calmed down too. I then had to pick some little rocks out of her forehead wound with some tweezers, which she sat very still for and then i put a band-aid on it and she began to act like nothing had happened. She did go find her dada pants and carry both of them around the house. She is one tough girl. I'm not sure if she was trying to carry her bike down the steps or if she was riding her bike off of the steps. Either way it didn't work out for her. I hope she doesn't try that again.

Here is a video of Tes singing, Hi-Ho Off to Work ya Go. From Snow White, the song that the dwarfs sing in the mine. She sings more of it, but i couldn't get her to sing more for the camera.
