Evergreen State Fair - Aug. 29, 2012

This was our first time attending the Evergreen State Fair!
We live pretty close to the fair and this year we decided to go.  However, it might have been our last time to the fair as well.  It wasn't that it was a bad fair, just so expensive.  I think we all had fun, except for Brian.  He wasn't too happy as soon as we pulled in the parking lot to park and they charged us $8 just to park our car.  But despite all the money we spent, I think it was a fun night!
Dalia & Tes collecting eggs!
Rock picking apples!
Fair food: gyros & corn dogs!  We also got an elephant ear!
We checked out the animals!
We liked the baby piglets the best!
We watched the Lumber Jack show.
Future Lumber Jack!
Brian let Rock walk around before the show and Rock walked right over to the chain saw.
We drove tractors!
Here is Dalia!
Tes!
Rock

Us driving Tractors!
The carousel!
We told the girls they could each choose one kiddie ride to ride and then we would all ride on the Ferris Wheel.
Dalia choose this Caterpillar Roller Coaster!
She thought it was AWESOME!!!!  and wanted to ride it again.  She then got mad that we wouldn't let her.
Tesila wanted to ride on the carousel and specifically on the Dragon!  We had to wait for the carousel to go around a few rides before the dragon was free for Tes to ride.  We figured we had just enough tickets for Rockwell to ride the carousel too.  And then the ride worker let our entire family ride the carousel too!  We felt pretty lucky.
Rock on the Rabbit
Dalia rode on the bench.
Tes enjoyed riding on the dragon and putting her feet up behind her.
When we walked over to the Ferris Wheel we found out that Rockwell was not allowed to ride, so Brian took the girls on the Ferris Wheel and Rock and I watched them go around and around.
The girls were excited to see the Ferris Wheel lit up at night!

Haircut & Cabbage Patch Kids! - Aug. 28, 2012

Dalia has been asking since July to get her hair cut short just like mama's.  I decided to give in and we got her hair cut.
 Dalia Before!
 Dalia During
 My New Dalia!
Doesn't she look more grown up and ready to be a First Grader?!
P.S.  Jami this is the skirt from you!
I also got out my 20 Cabbage Patch Kids to give to my girls!  They are have so much fun being Mamas!  I just love watching them play with my dolls and pretending that they are mamas
Rock likes to cuddle the babies too!

This is how Tes gives all her babies a good night hug at the same time.

We love Cabbage Patch Dolls!!

Wayside Chapel & Reptile Zoo - Aug. 23, 2012

Today we went to Monroe to pick up a couple boxes of peaches from Mott's fruit stand!
On our way home we stopped by the "Wayside Chapel!"
It is a small little church off the side of the rode for you to stop and pray.  We have only stopped there once before when Dalia was a baby.
Tes, Rock, & Dalia
Despite Tesila's pose we were mostly reverent at the little chapel.  The girls enjoyed playing church and taking turns giving talks, bearing their testimonies, and singing songs!  Dalia was fascinated by a Cross necklace with Jesus on it that was there.  In this picture Rock is using the pew as a steering wheel.  Okay so maybe we really weren't all that reverent.  Rock kept running around and climbing under the benches.  It was a lot like how we really act when we are actually at church.  We need to work on our reverence.
At the fruit stand they sold single stem Dahlia's!  I bough one for my Dalia!
Next stop on the way home...
The Reptile Zoo!!!!
We have passed this many times and i always tell myself that someday we will go there.  Today was the day!
Tesila LOVES to pose if you couldn't tell.
 Ahhh....
The girls enjoyed seeing the animals, Rock really didn't care.  Mostly i think he was tired.
This huge snake started to move and looked right at us and kept sticking it's tongue when we came over.
There was a turtle that had two heads.
 They let us hold snakes!

 This snakes name is Rocky!
Rock didn't care for it, he did touch him though.
At first Tes was very adamant that she was not going to old a snake.  Then after she saw Dalia and mom hold one she decided that it would be okay as long as it wasn't around her neck.
There were two huge tortoises, here is one of them.

These two tortoises were fun to watch eating this carrot (more like fighting over it).
 A white alligator.
On the way out we got a stuff animal snake that the girls named 'Joshua.'
