We went on a family bike ride on the Centennial Trail in Snohomish!! I rode my white bike and Brian rode the yellow bike and pulled the girls in our "bike trailer!" They had fun! We had fun! I like to ride bikes! I'm not sure how far we rode but we parked our car and loaded up on our bikes and rode to the train playground!! The girls were really excited to play. We ate our lunch in the little caboose on the playground! While on the trail we saw quite a few horses. So we stopped so that the girls could take a better look. Tesila was so excited!! She loves "sorseys!" (Horseys).
We love playing with friends and eating popsicles!! Dalia and Tes both like to "lead" music. The last few weeks in sacrament meeting when we sing a hymn, Tes gets out the little Book of Mormon or one of her little books, opens it up and starts waving her arm around the entire time of the song. The other day Dalia made a music stand. Dalia and Tes both had so much fun leading music, singing, and playing instruments! Videos below: Also, the other day Tesila and Dalia both fell down in the same place in the front yard on our little sidewalk by our house and they both scraped up their knees and got princess band-aids! I think they were acting sad because at first i had the back door shut and they were outside. I opened the door to take a picture of their sad faces and this is what i got. Love it! Tes has great facial expressions!
Ever since the girls got back from their weekend at Mat & Bri's they have been singing, "I like to move it, move it. I like to move it, move it," from the movie "Madagascar," i believe. And Dalia started singing, "Gotta get down, down down down down!" I asked Dalia where she learned that song and she said, "The boys from the park." I was confused then i finally realized it was from the band at the park a few weeks ago from "Music in the Park." It was from the Brian Waite Band, who are a bunch of men that sing kid songs. Well she loves their, "Gotta get down" song!!

Cute Friends: Tesila, Olivia, & Dalia TigerLily Dalia: helping her daddy cut some wood. Tesila & Dalia dancing at "Music in the Park." Tesila and her "licorice Mustache!" Her daddy taught her this. Now whenever she wants a licorice she asks for a "mustache!" It is the cutest thing ever! Then as soon as she gets her licorice it goes straight to her face and she smiles, "Mustache, Kiss me!!" Today we were went on a long walk to the Craigdorroch Castle in Victoria! It is a castle that a family once owed. Some man got rich and decided to build this castle for his house. Some historic society now owns it and give tours of the castle. I really enjoying going to museums and it was nice to be able to walk through the castle and not have to worry about little girls touching something they shouldn't. and i was able to read all the signs that i wanted at my own pace! I love it!! And i really like old buildings too! Here are some pictures outside of the castle. We went inside too and i did take some pictures, but the outside pictures are the best.
After our tour we walked back to the city and got some Gelato! Check out the gelato art, awesome! Then we found a place to rent a double Kayak! We then kayaked around in the water. It is nice kayaking with Brian because if i don't want to paddle i don't have too. He is a great at paddling and steering. However, sometimes it is frustrating kayaking with him because he can be so silly and want to go and do things i don't want to go and do. He is just trying to make me laugh. But i take it so serious sometimes, especially when we are in a little boat and we could possible tip over or something.
After kayaking we finally found something quick to eat. Then went back to the Clipper terminal, went through customs and waited for our boat ride back to Seattle. We got back to Seattle late and headed home to sleep. Sunday we went to church without our kids. Werid! After church we went to Mat & Bri's for dinner and to pick up our kids. Dalia and Tes sure had a lot of fun with mommy bri and daddy mat! and their new sister olivia! and brother hudson. THANK YOU THANK YOU bRI!!! AND MAT!! Bri you are amazing! I couldn't ask for a better friend!
Our wonderful friends Mat & Bri offered to watch our girls for the weekend so that we could have the weekend to ourselves. Bri offered to watch our girls back in November for our anniversary but we were out of town. And since we were out of town with family in november we didn't make the time to celebrate our anniversary. So this was a celebration of our 5th anniversary, just a few months late. We had a great vacation doing things that babies can't do, but we did miss our babies.
We dropped the girls off in Bellvue with Mat Thursday night. Early early friday morning we took the Victoria Clipper Boat from Seattle to Victoria, BC, Canada!! Our first stop after we got off the clipper was to go Zip Lining at AdrenaLINE. It was a lot of fun. I have always wanted to go. I was a little scared every time i got up to the platform and had to walk off.

After Zip lining we checked into our hotel the Delta right on the water front. Where we got a complimentary dinner. We ate on the balcony facing the waterfront. After dinner we went out for a walk around the town! Right by the water there were lots of vendors selling all sorts of food and trinkets and musicians playing for money. Brian bought be a pretty bracelet!
We enjoyed walking around the parliament building.
We stopped at the famous Garden!! (Behind the parliament building, right!?) Such beautiful roses! We saw this awesome bell tower with a little spiral stairs case to the top that only the player of the bells gets to climb. Brian was disappointed. We were then in search for dessert! Brian really wanted bread pudding and i wanted a brownie with ice cream. We weren't having much "luck" when we walked past a noisy Irish Pub playing very loud Irish music! I went over to the girl at the door checking I.D's and asked her what kinds of desserts they had. Sure enough they had bread pudding and the best brownie and ice cream ever!! We passed over our ID's and entered the pub. After dessert we walked around the city at night and heard a little concert going on at the waterfront. We then made our way back to our hotel for the night.
I got home from girls camp today! We said goodbye to Grandpa & Grandma! Thank you for coming! Dalia loved playing with my Lion Queen from camp and my lion ears and princesses headband that i got at girls camp!! For dinner we got pizza and went to Lundeen Park to eat! We had fun playing on the playground and playing hopscotch! It was great to be with my little family again!
I spent the week away at Zion's Camp for stake girls camp! I camped with the first year girls. Our groups name was the "Lion Queens!" The stake theme was "It's a Jungle out there and we're not Afraid." It was fun to be a leader at camp. But i sure missed my little girls at home.
A big THANK YOU!! to my mom and Lane for coming to Washington to watch my little girls and Brian!! I didn't worry about them at all while at camp. I just missed them. Back at my house my girls had fun playing with grandma & grandpa! Dalia & Tes painted bird houses while i was gone. Dalia went on a date with Grandma to McDonald's and got to play in the play place!! While i was gone to camp my mom told me that she was going to potty train Tes. When i got home Tes wasn't potty trained. Instead my guest room had been redone!! My mom said that Monday night she read about potty trianing and woke up Tuesday morning and decided it would be easier to redo the guest room than it would be to potty train Tes. So while i was gone they moved the guest bed out into the living room and slept out there. They took of the popcorn ceiling and Brian redid the ceiling. They took off all the ugly wallpaper and trim. Then they painted it getting rid of the awful green. Then painted new trim and Brian put up the new trim and new closet doors. It looks great and i LOVE it! I was very surprised!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
A few weeks ago Dalia asked me to build a pirate ship out of k'nex. It was awesome! The best thing out of k'nex i have ever made. However, i didn't take a picture because it wasn't worthy to show anyone. This week Brian made the girls a way better k'nex pirate ship and it is really awesome!! The girls like to have their little princesses play on it. Also my mom and stepdad are coming to take care of my family while i go to girls camp for a week.
Our friend Olivia came to play!! the three girls had fun playing in the kiddie pool and eating popsicles!! This morning while the girls were eating breakfast they began to "shoot" at each other with their forks, making sound effects! Dalia even said once that her "fork/gun" needed batteries!! Video Below:
Earlier this month Dalia and Tes kept getting into my make-up and putting it all over themselves, the walls, their clothes, carpet, blankets. Needless to say i had had enough of cleaning up make-up. So i decided to lock it up. Check out my new jewelry box! Yes it is that black and yellow beauty, complete with a little lock! I also decided to lock my nail polish in it as well since i figure it is just a matter of time before they start putting nail polish everywhere!
Tonight when daddy came home from work we played out in the pool some more and in the backyard. Dalia also helped Brian wash the cars!
Today was HOT!! We went to the spray park and so did EVERYBODY else. Tes pretty much hated going in the water. Dalia didn't like it at first but then she warmed up to it. It felt nice to get cooled off. Notice the girls got cute matching summer dresses! I love Target clearance! Then back at home the girls played with their toys. Here i have a video of them singing and making their princesses and princes dance! Also, later this evening i turned on the sprinkler for the girls to play in and Dalia propped her orange kitty up on the deck to watch her run on the grass. She is so sweet!
Brian made the girls this awesome Pirate Ship out of k'nex! The girls of course love it! Here Dalia has loaded the pirate ship up with all her little princesses and they have tied up the fireman! She is really into tying things up. We went to the thrift store and found this awesome car carpet!! They girls love it! They had so much fun playing with their car, little ponies, & little princesses. Dalia also found a baton! She is always using this wooden broomstick that we have to toss around like a baton, so i'm really glad that she found this little plastic one. In our backyard amongst our blackberry bushes, morning glory vine grows! The girls love love love to pick the pretty white flowers!! In this picture they are using them as their princess bouquet!
At the beginning of June Dalia was asking me if we could pick strawberries. We have been strawberry picking for the last 2 years. This time we decided to take daddy along! We went to Biringer Farms just up north to pick strawberries!! The girls (especially Tes) loved riding the trolley to the picking feild and back! This year the girls actually were semi helpful in picking strawberries. However, Tes still did end up with red juice all over her face. Dalia liked to pick the little tiny strawberries. We got to picking and at the end we came to the conclusion that we had picked way to many berries then we were planning to pick. So i now have more work to do, jamming and freezing them.
Back at home the girls played in the tent! It is now their favorite thing to do! They jump around in there and play with all the bedding! They like to come in and out, "knocking" on the door and letting each other in. The girls played in the tent, while Brian made yummy shish-ka-bobs for dinner and i worked on making jam with the strawberries!
In between all of that Tesila went upstairs and came downstairs wearing panties. She had taken off her diaper herself and found some panties to wear. So i just had her play on the deck. Shortly after i hear her whine about her toesies being all wet. Oh no, she had an accident, back to her diaper. She was very concerned that her toes got wet, but i don't think she knew exactly why. I guess i should start teaching her.
Happy 4th of July! I love dressing up in Red, White, & Blue!! Here is our family after church! That big picture next to Tes is what she came home with from nursery today! They traced her and she got to color herself. She was very very excited and proud to show us the picture of her! However, she didn't want me to take her picture right then. But she does love it! For now it is hanging in her bedroom. Tes & Dalia riding on Tesila's Pink Unicorn Stick horse that was Tesila's late birthday gift from her G&G Ha. Both of the girls love it! and i love that they like to ride it together. They are such good friends!
We went over to Eric & Emily's for a BBQ and for fireworks! Eric & Emily bought some fireworks and roman candles to shoot off. We just walked down the street from their house to an empty lot and lit off their fireworks. But there were fireworks going off all around us. For at least an hour if not two fireworks were going off. It was quite noisy. And around here everyone gets the fireworks that shoot up into the sky so we could see fireworks going off all around us. Hiking! We went hiking with Eric & Emily today! We were hoping to hike to "Sunset Mine." However, we took a wrong turn and hike up an old forest road for about an hour or so until we came upon a little waterfall that i didn't want to cross with the girls. So we stopped and had our picnic there. Dalia hiked most of the way to our little waterfall and back, she was only carried a little big. She is starting to be such a great hiker. Tesila on the other hand loves to go "hiking," but always wants to be carried. Brian carried Tes in our kid hiking backpack. It was a fun hike with lots of interesting things to see and so pretty. To get up to where we parked we had to drive up this really rocky road and we used our 4x4 in the pilot for the first time! Brian is a great driver! He did a great job getting our car and us up the 1 or 2 mile rock road to the trail head. Well the unmarked trail head. When we got home we realized from looking online that the mine was just around the corner from where we parked the car. We were so close. Maybe someday we will go back and see it.
Back at home Brian grilled us up some hot dogs and we had a picnic dinner in the backyard! After dinner Brian made a fire for us to roast marshmallows!! Tes got tired shortly after she ate her share of starbursts and wanted to go lay in the tent. So i went and tucked her in bed and she went to sleep for the night. We then got out the "sparklers!" This was Dalia's first sparkler experience and she did great! She had lots of fun moving the pretty fire stick around. Brian had fun playing with the settings on the camera to get good sparkler pictures! Brian and i had a sparkler name writing contest. I totally one. If you don't believe me just look at the pictures.
Fourth of July Weekend!! We decided to go camping!! in our Backyard!!! The girls had fun "helping" dad set up our big green tent!! But they mostly had fun laying in their sleeping bags! We rented "Horton Hears a Who" and watched it on the laptop in the tent eating popcorn! So fun!! The first night of our weekend camping trip was a success!!
Dalia and Tes have been up to a lot lately! Especially today! They of course love to dance. Tes enjoyed dancing with her baby doll. Later on the girls went upstairs to play. After awhile i decided to go see what they are doing upstairs. They were playing so well together. I found them dressed up in their, "swimming suits!" They created these "swim suits" themselves! Then they were taking turns jumping into the "pool" aka-onto Dalia's bed. They would take turns jumping off of the pink box onto Dalia's bed and then kick their legs, move their arms, roll around, and even stick their face down on the bed as if they were dunking their head under water and then pretending to blow bubbles. They proceeded playing this game for quite sometime. They are so creative and such good friends!
However, later on they got into some trouble. They found my make-up. They have found my make-up before but they usually just apply all over their faces and on their body. This time it was all over dalia's bedspread, the carpet, their clothes, some on the wall, and themselves. The mascara came out but the shiny pinkish/purple lipstick did NOT. Dalia that is why your bedspread has weird pinkish/purple marks all over it. So i spend the afternoon scrubbing, a bedspread, the carpet, clothes, the wall, and two little girls.
