April 1-15, 2011

Our New Couch!!  Made by Dalia.  Complete with pink chair TV stand, colored blocks TV, and circle knex DVD's!!
This is how General Conference was watched at our house!  Well at least by Dalia.
The other week at church Dalia came home with this picture drawn on the back of her paper from class that talked about Repentance.  I asked her what she learned in class that day and she said, "Bad things."  oh, i wondered, so i asked what bad things.  She told me about a girl who was swinging and another girl who wanted a turn swinging and the girl on the swing said no so she pushed the girl off the swing.  Yeah, that is a bad thing.  Then i saw this picture on her paper and asked what it was of.  Dalia said, "The sad girl is me and the happy girl is Tes taking my doll."  Well that is really what happens at our house.  Tes usually does the taking.  Dalia does sometimes, but it is usually Tes.  I love how "happy" she drew Tesila's face, because of course Tesila is happy for taking a doll away from Dalia.  It is actually true, Tesila usually runs away with the biggest grin all proud of herself for being mean to her sister.  I guess we need to work on that.
Brian set up our new swing set!!!  We bought it off craigslist, Eric helped Brian take it apart and bring it to our house.  Thanks Eric!!  It came with a slide but no platform for the slide to connect too.  So Brian is going to make one!
For another session of General Conference we watched it on the ipad as we ate lunch.  The choir began to sing, "I'm trying to be like Jesus," and Dalia jumped up from her seat to go see the ipad better and sang to the song with the choir!  It's true, she loves that song.  Lately that is the song she chooses for me to sing her for her bedtime song.
This is the awesome puzzle that Tes got for her birthday from G&G Ha.  Grandma Dixie made it!!
Finally, our real New Couch!!  Thank you to Eric for picking it up and delivering it to us!  We owe him!  And i love the couch!!  none, of the cushions come off.  The girls are sad about that.
Since we have been talking about getting a swing set Dalia has been talking about have Preston over for a picnic and to play on the swingset.  So after Brian built the swing set Dalia drew this picture!  At the bottom of the swingset it is Dalia, Preston, Tesila, & Carter.  Above the slide is me and my pregnant belly and Alycia (Preston & Carter's mom).  We are excited for it to get sunny and warmer so that we can fulfill Dalia's dream of having Preston over for a picnic and to play.
Did you know that Tesila can write her own name!!  TES
Tesila loves to play "Don't Eat Pete!"  Usually just Tes and i play.  Dalia does not like to play, i think because she gets scared when we all yell, "Don't Eat Pete!"
We got some packages in the mail!  Thank you Callie, Jami, & Grandma Carolyn!!
Here i am with baby brother's afghan!!  I totally love it!!  and i'm so excited to wrap him in it.  In the back of the picture you can see my new carseat cover from Callie!!
Grandma Carolyn sent the girls dolls that she got in China!  They love them!  Especially Dalia, because she is so into China lately!  They call them their, "China Dolls!"
 Tesila wearing her "dada pants!"
The girls watched Tinkerbelle today!  Then Dalia drew this!  I love it!  All the fairies!!  I think it is so good that we framed it and hung it above her coloring table!
I love love love getting hugs from my Tesila!!  And it's fun that she rests on my baby belly!
Dalia got her last book from the Imagination Library in the mail today!  It's all about going to Kindergarten!  She is excited!!
Daddy came to watch the girls at swim lessons today!  This is their last week!  And Tesila has been doing great!  I don't have to fight with her to get in the water!!
Dalia putting on a Puppet Show for me and Tes.  She sure needs a Puppet Theater.  Also, she made that paper puppet herself and i helped her tape popsicles sticks to the back to hold it up.  On her other hand is an Elmo sock, being her Elmo puppet.  The picture she drew is of a birthday party for baby Elmo who is sitting in a highchair in the picture.  P.S.  Callie, Dalia loves to wear baby brothers Lighting McQueen socks on her feet and the Elmo socks on her hands!
Dalia learned about how Caterpillars turn into Butterflies this week at Preschool.  And this day was her first day of Speech class where she learned about Caterpillars some more!  She was very excited and loves the caterpillar hat she made!
Sneak Peak of baby Boy's Quilt!
Dalia doing what she does best and most often at home, DRAW!!

March 28-March 31, 2011

Mom!  i saw you were viewing from Iceland!  cool!  Here are some pictures for you to look at from Morocco!
Can you see what Brian is holding?!  it is an iPhone!  Brian got an iphone!  i know Mat is so proud and Brian is actually really excited.  We have are coming into this new age of technology, finally.  We got rid of our landline and now we each have a cell phone, hooray!!
also, do you see this couch above?  it no longer sits in our living room.  we gave it away to a nice boy named jesse the other night!  We are so excited to have it gone!  Now we are just awaiting our new couch to arrive!  I bought some cute fabric to make some throw pillows!
Me and my silly girls playing with the camera after their bath.  I love seeing my baby belly in this picture!
I took Dalia in for her official First Hair Cut!!  Because of her own attempt to cut her hair.  i had tanya blend in the front park and she cut off 3 inches in the back.  Below is cute Dalia very happy with her new hair!  You can't really tell a huge difference.  But i'm glad we didn't cut off ALL her pretty long hair.
4 year old Dalia!  (for one more month at least)
Silly sister Tes.  She calls this her Potato Head Grandma.  Because she is wearing glasses and using the potato head stuff.
Guess what?!  Just 1 1/2 more months until our baby brother arrives!!  We are getting really excited to meet him!  I'm also starting to realize that i really need to start getting ready for his arrival.  Two weeks ago we got a new infant carseat.  This afternoon i took it out of the box!  Dalia and Tes were so excited.  One of them went upstairs right away and brought down "our baby brother" and his robot blanket that i made him a couple weeks ago.  Don't my 3 kids look adorable!!

In February i bought fabric to make baby boy things!  Dalia & Tes helped me pick out the fabric.  They were so excited about the robots and sharks!!  So far i have made baby boy a Robot receiving blanket, PeePeeTeePee's, and a little tie for his blessing day.  The next few weeks i hope to work on making him a shark quilt with the other fabrics.  He will be here before i know it.
Swimming Lessons!  Believe it or not Tesila was NOT happy this day at class.  Last time she refused to get in the water.  The first two weeks of class Tes loved it and was all smiles!  The past week has been opposite.  She gets excited about swim class and talks about going.  But as soon as we get to the waters edge she starts crying for daddy or grandma carolyn to rescue her.  This day i made her get in the water (as best as i could, which didn't work out very well).  I can talk Dalia into doing just about anything.  Tesila i cannot, it has to be mostly her idea.  She finally told me that she didn't want to jump in the water, because it gets her face wet.  And she didn't want to blow bubbles, because of getting her face wet.  Most of the class she sat on the edge of the pool with her feet in and told me, "mama, stay by me."  So i stood behind her while the class swam.  She eventually got in the water and did a few swims with the teacher, which Tes was all smiles for.  She was probably only in the water for about 5-10mins. for the entire 30 min. lesson.  I'm not sure what else to do.
Dalia on the other hand, LOVES all things swimming!  She is proud that she can jump into the water to her teacher and go under the water without her goggles on.  And she can touch the bottom of the pool with her tippy toes!  Granted that almost her entire head is under the water except her face.

Here is Tes pouting at Swim class wearing her Goggles.  I was hoping that by wearing her goggles she would stay in the water, didn't work.
Dalia & Tes at class.  Dalia loves it!  Tes i might even say she hated it that day or at least this moment.
Goal: Tonight we are going swimming as a family to the same pool where Tes goes to swimming lessons in hopes that it will help her be more comfortable.  Wish us luck!
