We made it to Utah!
We found a Rocket display!!
The kids liked playing with the rocks!
Brian enjoyed running up the walls of this HUGE pipe.
Our destination was "The Golden Spike!"
This is where the East and West Railroads first met up!
Here is where the Golden Spike was layed. My girls were so distraught that there wasn't an actual Golden Spike. They kept asking and looking for the Golden Spike.
We made it to the Great Salt Lake!!!
Down the rode from the Golden Spike is the Spiral Jetty. It is a piece of art that was made in the 70's in the Great Salt Lake. However, the lake was high so we really didn't see it that well. Google it, it looks pretty cool.
We were glad to wade in the Great Salt Lake. I had never been to the lake before. It was salty, it was quiet, it was HOT!

Britni, Rock, & Brian at the Great Salt Lake!

It's too bad the railroads didn't join closer to a town.
There really should be a golden spike, with 24 hour security. A tiny bit disappointing.
I remember going to Plymouth Rock and wondering, "Where is the really big rock?" (I expected something like Haystack Rock.)
