Circle Treat! - Sept. 29, 2009

A Circle Treat!
On our way to the Mariner's game, we had just gotten off the freeway, but were at a stop waiting for a train on the railroad tracks. From the back seat Dalia tells us that she needs to go "potty!" ahh, we are stuck at this railroad crossing. I tell her if she holds it and waits she can have a treat. I ask her what kind of treat she wants and she says, "a Circle Treat!" Okay, i've never got that response before, i don't know what she is talking about but i guess we'll get her something that's a circle. Finally the train passes, but then another train comes and we are stuck waiting again, no where to go. Then the train is gone and we drive across the tracks. The first store we come acroos is "Krispy Kreme Doughnuts!" wow! circle treat!
I grabbed Dalia and ran to the bathroom inside only to find that you have to have a special code to get into the bathroom because bathrooms are for customers only. So we have to run to the other end of the store and wait for an employee. We get the code run back across thes store and into the bathroom as Dalia is dancing around frantically. But she made it! Hooray!!!

So of course she got her circle treat! Quite a few actually, Brian can't just get one doughnut, he had to buy a whole dozen for the 4 of us. Tesila was so excited! She's excited for anything sweet. She kept asking for "do-do" the rest of the night and the next morning! She definatly has a sweet tooth!

Mariners Baseball - Sept. 29, 2009

We made it to our yearly Seattle Mariner's Baseball game!!
We met up with our friends Mat, Bri, Jamie, & Reuben for dinner at Uwajimaya's and then walked over to Safeco Field for the game. We brought our little girls along on what was a triple date, i guess we should have looked for a sitter. The girls were actually quite good. Dalia liked sitting with our friends better than us. Tes hated sitting with Mat. Thank you for taking care of our girls while you were trying to have a kid free night and for making our yearly Mariner's game a great tradition.

Fishy.Game - Sept.28, 2009

First of all i just love Tesila's little baby toes!! She loves her toes too! It might be because i am always tickling her toes and telling her about them, but she loves to find them each morning when she wakes up and makes sure that i see each foot and tickle her toes. While she sits in her high chair eating he crosses her cute little feet at the ankles! Then check out her happy smile with curled to the side tongue! Awesome! that is happening a lot lately. I guess it's her signature tongue pose.

The girls got this fishy game last year for christmas. They liked it okay then, but they really like it now, especially Tes. She loves to run to the game closet and point and say "fish" cause she wants to play it. When we play the fish game Tesila grabs her own little fishing pole and starts fishing. She can get her own fish all by herself. But as soon as she catches it she takes it off the pole and puts it right back in the hole. It's just catch and release for her. Look how happy she is after she catches a fish, with her signature curled tongue to the side! Dalia really likes playing the fish game too and can catch her own fish and they we try to count them together.

Girls - Sept. 26, 2009

Tesila and her signature curled side tongue smile, love it!! Tesila carrying a bear on her tummy and so proud! I made the girls a tent out of our kitchen table and they loved it! Tesila loves horses and loves to ride this little horse around the house saying,"neigh" over and over! Dalia loves pudding! Here is her pudding face! She calls it her 'messy face' raarrr! Bathtime! Daddy had a great idea to let the girls play with their big toy balls in the tub with them, i think they had fun!

Brian's Daughter?!

Miss Dalia at the park!
She loved playing on this marry go round.
However, i couldn't get her to sit down like all the other kids! She insisted on standing up and going around and around again. I blame Brian! She is there to not just casually enjoy the marry go round, but enjoy it to all it's EXTREME possibilities. Well however extreme it can get for a 3 year old. She stood up and braced herself with her little legs smiling the whole time while i was standing on the side lines waiting for her to fly off (which she never did). She rode this for quite awhile going around and around again and again, never once complaining of getting sick. My dear Dalia i love you!

The Park - Sept. 23, 2009

Today we went to Willis Tucker park for a picnic with our Aunt Barb, cousin Flora, and Viggo! Dalia was so very excited to see Flora!!! She loves Flora (flora lived with us last year for 2 months so Dalia got to know her quite well). We enjoyed our picnic and watching the girls play at the playground. Tesila loved riding this little horse and saying "neigh" as she rocked and bounced! We then went on a walk on a tree covered path. Dalia got the chance to walk her first dog, Viggo! She absolutely LOVED it! She had the happiest smile on her face and looked so proud!! Viggo and her are becoming much better friends! We had a fun afternoon at the park with Barb, Flora, and Viggo. We are glad that they live so close to us.

Kids - Sept. 22, 2009

Dalia drew an awesome picture of a person today! I asked her who it was and she said, "Grandma." I love it! I just love her face as she is showing me her drawing! Tesila wanted to sit on the potty today. So i let her and she pooped! So she got a CareBear toy! I don't think she's ready to be potty trained, i think it was just a fluke. So if you don't see more little CareBears on my blog you will know Tesila has not been working on her wearing panty skills. Our friends Lily and Brendan stopped by tonight and Brendan reminded me it is his birthday tomorrow. So we let him choose a sugar cookie and put a candle in it and sang him happy birthday! We love to sing and have parties!

Dalia's.Potty.Party - Sept. 21, 2009

One of my favorite events of the summer was celebrated today!!
Today was the day of Dalia's Potty Party!!
Dalia is officially potty trained! She has been for about a month now, I just haven't gotten around to throwing her party.

Me and the girls spent the day baking! We made sugar cookies for the party! As you can tell the girls love to lick the beaters and spatula!

After dinner we started the party! First we decorated our cookies with yummy icing, princess glitter icing, and princess sprinkles (thanks to Grandma Ho.). Dalia loved squirting out the glitter, Tes enjoyed eating the icing, Brian gets really creative with his sugar cooking decorating skills, Britni just decorates them pretty.

Brian even decorated a cookie to look like a toilet with a poopy in it (I know gross, he must be a boy, the toilet was pink though!) We stuck a candle in the toilet cookie and sang Dalia "Happy Potty Trained." She loved it and blew out her candle! Behind her on the wall is Brian's toilet painting and her second Potty Chart (i couldn't find her first one, i must have put it somewhere super safe). Then Dalia got to open a present for being completely potty trained!!

She was so excited to get the 'Polly Pocket Ariel'. She knew what she was getting. At the beginning of the summer i saw this Ariel at Target and tried to get it without her knowing (she was at the store with me). I didn't want to just give it to her for no reason and i had to buy it since i hadn't seen the Ariel polly pocket before. On the way out to the car Dalia noticed the Ariel in the bag and wanted it. I told her that she could have this Ariel when she didn't wear diapers anymore and only wore panties. I put it in the guest room closet. Quite frequently Dalia would go to the closet and ask for Ariel. I would remind her that she had to not wear diapers. So i saved it for her potty party!

It was a fun party and fun to celebrate Dalia's big accomplishment!

Sunday in Sept. - Sept. 20, 2009

A relaxing Sunday afternoon at our house!!
Dalia dancing with her daddy! (I took a cute video of them dancing. Brian even dips Dalia, it is cute. However, as i was watching it i realized that Dalia isn't wearing any panties. So until it gets edited it won't be seen on here. If you look closely you can see her panties on the floor while they are dancing).
Dalia also got into mommy's make-up, no surprise there. She loves my eye shadow. This time she put it all over her face and arm, beautiful, right?! Dalia also likes to take pictures with the camera. Most of them don't turn out right or are of nothing special. But she took this picture of me at the table right after dinner. I think it turned out well. And i just love the self portrait i took of me and Tes with her cute cheesy smile.

Boyfriends!

Dalia has boyfriends already! And not just one, she has two!Dalia & Collin
They play so well together and always look for each other when we are at playgroup. Collin tells Dalia, 'I Love You.' And he always wants to be near her and he even helps her do things. Dalia tells Collin that she wants to "Marry in the Temple." When we get ready for church she says she's going to wear her wedding dress and Collin is going to wear his suit and pants. Dalia also loves all of Collin's cool toy cars! They sure have fun together!
Isaac & Dalia
We don't see Isaac as much as we see Collin, but whenever Isaac is around Dalia is happy! They don't like to leave each other (example: when we are going somewhere and Dalia has to get in her car and Isaac in his car Dalia cries cause she wants Isaac. Then when we get to where we are going and they see each other again they run to each other for a big hug and Isaac tells Dalia, 'Sorry i left you.') She will also tell us that she is going to marry Isaac. Isaac also calls Dalia, "Dali," (it is so cute hearing him call her that).

When do i teach her that you only have one boyfriend?!

Brian's Party - Sept. 16, 2009

Since we didn't have time yesterday for cake and presents we celebrated Brian more today!
Eric & Emily came over to help us Celebrate Brian! Brian of course choose cheesecake for his birthday cake!! It was topped with 31 candles that he had to light himself (a Ha. family tradition). Dalia was so excited to sing happy birthday. We ate cheesecake topped with homemade Blackberry Syrup!! Yum!! Brian then opened presents. He got some bike gloves!! (which he actually opened early because he was going biking and needed them last weekend, but he wore one while he opened his other presents), he got some car care stuff, some toy cars from Dalia (she was so excited to give them to him, she picked them out herself), he got cards and some cash (which he is saving for a PS3 (PlayStation3), and he got an old jacket. I wrapped up one of his old jackets, because he is getting a new jacket from OR, where Mat works. Mat is ordering it and we should get it in a few weeks. It will be waterproof!! Brian is excited!

Lastly a picture of cute Tes watching her daddy cute up Plums from our Plum tree out back to dry them out in a food dryer.

Brian's 31st Birthday!! - Sept. 15, 2009

Today is Brian's Birthday!!
The day i get to celebrate the birth of my husband!! I'm so glad he is here!

This morning he got to open one present (which was one of his favorite cereals, "Reeses Peanut Butter cereal" to eat for breakfast!) We also had cinnamon rolls. Brian got a candle to blow out in his and we sang happy birthday, which Dalia loved. Then we got dressed and backed stuff for a hike!

We drove about an hour up the Mountain Loop Highway to the trail head for 'Boardman Lake.' It was of course beautiful! It was quite a level hike. Very easy for Dalia. Dalia walked the entire way to the lake. She had fun picking up sticks and pretending that her stick was a gun. Dalia and i had to fight off the Bear (aka-Brian) with our stick guns! Brian carried Tes to the lake on his back.

Once at the lake the air was nice and warm and the water wasn't freezing. Brian of course brought his swim shorts, changed and jumped in. I didn't bring swim clothes for us girls. So i just took of Dalia and Tesila's pants and let them wade. Dalia loved it! Tes enjoyed dipping her toes in and throwing rocks in the water. Brian found some high rocks that he was able to climb up and jump off into the water!

Here is a video of Brian jumping into the lake while little Dalia cheers him on. It is so cute!
Video: Brian jumping into the lake.

Video: Tesila throwing rocks in the lake.

It was such a nice day at the lake we wished we had time to stay longer. But we still had an hour hike back to the car and an hour drive back to our house. Then Brian and i had to clean up for our big date tonight. Aunt Barb came over to watch the girls while Brian and i went out.

Brian and i were headed downtown Seattle to the Paramount Theater to see the Broadway play "Wicked!!" It was a long time coming, but we finally now have seen it!! When we were out in New York City visiting my mom back in 2007, we went to the lottery ticket place and tried every day to get tickets. Later we found out that we were the only ones that went to visit my mom (on her 2 years as a missionary) that wasn't able to get into Wicked.

Our evening in Seattle didn't go quite as planned. The restaurant that i had planned to go to (that i found online) WASN'T there! argh! I was upset and was worried that it would take to long going somewhere else and that we wouldn't make it to the show on time. It took us a few times walking around the block for Brian to calm me down and led us to a different restaurant. It ended up being great and having amazing roast pork and mashed potatoes.

We made it to the show on time and it was amazing!! We were far in the back on the third mezzanine and it was hard to understand some of what they were saying and of course we couldn't make out any facial features that far back. But it was a great story. Interesting take on the Wizard of Oz. We are glad that we were finally able to see the show.

Happy Birthday Brian!

Sisters - Sept. 8, 2009

Dalia & Tesila are such cute sisters! They get along quite well. They love spending time with each other and are concerned if the other one is not around. I have so much fun every day with these two sweet little girls!!

Sleepover.NewCouch - Sept. 7, 2009

Our friends the O's came up for Labor day! They arrived last night after church. We played games and ate a yummy blackberry crisp that Brian made. We put the kids to bed (well tried to). We tried putting Dalia & Isaac in the same room. However, of course they didn't sleep. As soon as we left the room we could hear them running around and jumping on the beds. Eventually we put Dalia in our bed and left Isaac in Dalia's room and they finally fell asleep.

Today, Labor Day, we were going to go hiking. But we woke up to rain and more rain. It would not be a very enjoyable hike with 4 small children. So we opted to hang out at our place. As we sat around talking and thinking of something else to do that day we thought it would be fun to "window shop" for furniture. I wanted a new couch and Reuben and Jamie just bought a big house and need more furniture to fill it. Reuben was however convinced that we were going to come home with a couch today. I was not. We were just looking, we don't buy things the day of. We went to a huge furniture store and looked and looked at sectionals. We were finally convinced they didn't have anything that we were looking for and went up stairs to look at the kid stuff. Upstairs was a bunch of beds and ONE couch! It was a little sectional, not over stuffed, and not too long. Wow, i think that sectional would actually fit in our small TV room. We sat on it for awhile and with the help of Reuben "sitting on our shoulders and whispering pretty things in our ears" (he was on a mission to get us a couch THAT very day), we bought the couch.

We fit some of it in our car, went out to lunch then back home to drop off the kids and some of the couch. Reuben and Brian went back to the store and got the rest of the couch. Back at home we pieced it together and we now have a brand new couch! It fits in our little room perfectly and looks quite nice!! Today i learned that if you aren't serious about buying something, don't go shopping with Reuben. But we were mostly serious about buying a couch. We had talked about it for a long time and were planning on getting a couch for Christmas. We just got our Christmas present a few months early.)

Happy Labor Day!
Thanks for coming to our sleepover Reuben, Jamie, Isaac, & Bella!

Doritos.Shelves - Sept. 5, 2009

Today was a raining overcast day so we decided to spent the day at home. Brian built me some shelves for our laundry closet! Can i just tell you that i Love them!!! There used to be this big bulky cabinet in there that didn't use the space well. Last Christmas when Brian redid the floors he had to take out the bulky cabinet to take out the washer and dryer to put the new floor underneath and just didn't put the bulky cabinet back, well, because we didn't like if. So today he made me some custom shelves. They fit everything i need and more on them! i love opening that closet now. It is so easy to do laundry and find things! Also, Brian installed that light under the cabinet which is awesome, because now i can see what i'm doing in there! I love my laundry shelves!! Thank you Brian!! I know i will love doing laundry even more now. I already like to do laundry but the shelves make it that much better!!
While Brian built I worked on turning my blog into a book. Which is going to take me awhile. Hopefully i will made time to work on it. We found Dalia cuddled up on the couch with the entire bag of Doritos, just eating away! That girl LOVES Doritos! And so does Tesila! They got their love of Doritos from their dad! Brian loves those things and could eat an entire bag in one sitting. I love them too, but not as much as Brian. Brian could eat them anytime anywhere. That boy loves Doritos!!

Curtains.Friends - Sept. 3, 2009

Since we moved in i have wanted to make some curtains for our windows. But i wanted to paint first. A year after moving in we were finally ready to paint. My mom and Lane came in November 2008 and helped us paint the living room green! Which i love! So then it was now time for me to seriously make some curtains. However, i wasn't finding any fabric that i loved. One day while at Target i decided to look at their actual curtains and found nothing that i liked. Then i went to look at their shower curtains and i found exactly what i had been dreaming about! So i bought two shower curtains but i still needed to sew them to the right dimensions for my windows. Today is the day i finally finished my curtains for the living room and i love them!! I guess it is official, i am my mothers daughter (my mom makes her curtains out of shower curtains too, my mom is very creative and crafty and a great decorator, i owe my mom for my creative abilities, thanks mom!)

Also, as you can tell Tesila came to help out while i was pinning the hem of the curtains in place. She helped me pin the fabric while wearing her favorite bike helmet! You just can never be too safe. And later this evening the girls friends Mynoa & Teressa came over to play while their parents went to the Temple. We love have Mynoa and Teressa over! I love that our girls are so close in age and that they get along so well. Dalia of course showed Mynoa her new trick of jumping off the slide and of of course Mynoa had to try it out several times. I love these four little girls!!!

Backyard - Sept. 2, 2009

We Love playing in our backyard! Especially with all the wonderful sunny days we have been having. Lately Tesila always wants to wear the pink bike helmet. She brings it to me and wants me to put on her "hat." Yes, she wears her helmet while riding her bike, but she also wears it while swinging (which i can understand), but she also wears it to run around the yard and to play in the sand. My sweet baby Tesila just being safe! I am also really enjoying the annual flowers that i planted back in May! They are in full bloom in my planters around the deck. I Love them!
Dalia also learned a new trick today! She likes to climb to the top of the slide (which isn't all that high since our swing set is very little). Then once at the top of the slide she likes to spread her arms and jump down to the grass. She does it over and over again! I thought maybe the slide was in her way so i took it off. Dalia just then sat down and cried and would not jump off without the slide attached. So i put the slide back and Dalia's tears went right away and turned into giggles again.

My sweet baby Tesila went inside and found her special purple blanket that she loves so much. She brought it outside to snuggle with in the swing. She likes to such on her two middle fingers on her right hand and with her left hand hold her special purple blanket up to her face! Lately Tesila also likes to sit on the potty like her sister Dalia. Nothing ever comes out, she just likes to sit.

Bike riding - Aug. 31, 2009

Bike riding!!!
Dalia LOVES to ride her "red bike" and she very much dislikes riding her "purple bike." Well for one thing she can now ride her red bike really while back and forward, side to side, in circles. She is still having troubles pedaling her purple bike. Tes on the other hand LOVES to sit on the purple bike and be pushed around of course. But Dalia is getting better at riding her purple bike, but she still prefers her red bike.

Pears.Zucchini.Nose.Pick - Aug. 31, 2009

Harvest has begun! Well we are only growing a pumpkin ourselves. My friend Alycia brought me this HUGE zuchinni so that i could make zuchinni bread with Erin's recipe, yum!! thank you alycia and erin! And here are the pear i picked up ripening in the sun and canned up for the winter! I finally repotted our plant Luci (only after needing to be repotted for about 2 years). And one of cutie Tes picking her nose! I love it! She doesn't actually pick just sticks her finger up her nostril because she thinks it's funny, and it is!

End of August

Tesila Rose
August 29, 2009 my baby turned 18 months old!
Sunday, Aug. 30th was her first day of Nursery!
Not so successful. She slept the first part of nursery in my arms. She was fine at snack time. Then i left. I was only in Young Womens for about 10 mins. and someone from nursery came to get me. Tesila needed her mama! So of course i went back to nursery to cuddle with her during her lesson and coloring time.
Here is Tesila with her daddy after church on her first day of nursery. This is the picture she barely made some green marks with a crayon on.
Dalia & Tesila before we left for church all ready for Tesila's first day of nursery.
Our family at Mukilteo Beach
Our neighbor Ken goes diving for crab quite often and tonight he gave dalia this crab right over the fence already cooked! Let's just say she was very excited!
Tesila LOVES blackberries!
I set my bucket down (bad idea) to run in the house and help Dalia go potty. When i returned outside all my hard work was getting eatin' up really fast by this cute little girl.
We had a picnic at Lake Ty, in Monroe.
Meadowdale Park Beach.
We hiked a mile to the beach with some friends in our ward.
We played disc golf in a very wooded area.
(We only lost our one disc a few times, and we eventually found it each time.)

Disc Golf & Park - Aug. 30, 2009

Today was Tesila's first official day of Nursery class at church!
Here are my cute girls all ready to go to church! Aren't They just so cute!!
Dalia & Tes
Brian and Tes after church with Tesila's coloring page. Yes, she did put some color on the paper, it is very faint and only one color of a few lines, but she did color some. However, she wasn't in nursery all that long. The first hour she fell asleep in my arms in the hall on the way to nursery. She woke up for the second hour of nursery, just in time for snack. I snuck out to go to young womens, but she didn't last too long before they had to go get Brian to come and sit in with her. So we will keep working on it. She is definatly the cutest nursery kid i've ever seen!

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we decided to go check out the Lake Stevens Disc Golf course. It was very cool and foresty!
Then of course we had to play at the park next to the golf course! Fun fun fun! Dalia had a lot of fun being bounced by Brian on some flappy bridge thing. (check out video below). Right after church Dalia and Tes had fun running around the deck on their little horse, "neighing" as they ran!

Mukilteo Beach - Aug. 29, 2009

The O. Family came to play for the day! We had planned to go to the beach but when we woke up it was not beach weather, quite cold. So we ended up just playing at our house instead. In the afternoon the sun came out and it was beautiful. So we went to the beach to visit. The boys (brian and reuben) had fun throwing rocks in the water. Bella LOVED eating the sand! Dalia and Isaac liked digging in the sand and wading in the water. Thanks for coming to spend the day with us!

Boys.Crab.Berries - Aug. 28, 2009

The W. boys came to play today and pick blackberries with their mama! Here Collin, Dalia, Bradley, and Tes sit, not wanting to hold still for a picture. Tes of course eating the blackberries from the bucket that i was trying to fill while i went in the house to help Dalia go potty. I should know better than to leave my bucket out in the open on the lawn. Our neighbor Ken goes diving for crabs quite a lot in the summer. He boils them up in his backyard and occasionally hands one over the fence to Brian. I don't care for crab, but Brian likes it and so does little Dalia. Here she is so excited for her crab! Dalia and Brian enjoy eating their crab together.

Ty Lake.Videos - Aug. 27, 2009

We were driving through Monroe to pick up a box of pears so we stopped and had a picnic at Ty Lake! The girls loved playing on the playground. Dalia loved wading in the water (she wanted to swim, but we didn't have enough time), Tes was a little unsure of the water. Back at home Dalia enjoyed washing her baby doll in the kiddie pool in the backyard. Tesila LOVES to eat blackberries! Ripe, unripe, red, green, black, she eats them all. Picks them herself!

Meadowdale Beach Park - Aug. 25, 2009

Meadowdale Beach Park
The kids before our 1 mile hike to the beach!
Dalia, Christian, Tes, Hailey, Natalie, Tyler (Tesa's leap day twin), & Cameron (not pictured: Clayton)

After last weeks young women's high adventure hike i wasn't expecting to go hiking for a few days. That didn't last all to long. Monday morning (yesterday the 24th) i got a call from Lana. She said, "This might be a crazy question, but do you want to go hiking tomorrow with our kids?!" I did tell her that it was a little crazy, but that we wanted to go. So Lana and her kids, my and my kids, and Tieryn and her kids and her dad all came on our little hike. We were going on a hike to the beach down in edmonds at a place called Meadowdale Park. It was about 1 mile to the beach mostly all downhill or flat (which still hurt my knee going downhill). The way back up was a little steep (my knee was fine, but it got tirying because i was carrying Tes on my back). But it was a really nice day for a hike and the kids had tons of fun! The beach was beautiful and what great company! Thanks for asking me such a crazy question Lana!!

Boeing Family Day - Aug. 23, 2009

Boeing Family Day 2009

What is Boeing Family Day you ask?! It is the one day every other year that boeing family members can enter the property, walk through the factory where they build the planes, and see the desks where their family members work! Yep, i have now seen Brian's desk 2 times. This time there were more pictures of his girls around his desk. I almost wonder if there are too many. However, no cameras are allowed, so no pictures. Just the one of us outside in the parking lot! It was weird walking around not taking pictures. I kept thinking, "oh this would be a good picture" and then that's when i would normally reach for my camera. My mom told me it was a day off for me from taking pictures. I have mixed feelings about it.

This year we were able to bring my mom, Lane, Lincoln, Eric, Emily, and Tes as our new comers to Boeing Family day. Matthew, Scott, and Dalia came with us 2 years ago. Carrie came with us 2 years ago too, so this year she decided to stay home with Luke and Maggie. After seeing Boeing we all went to Lincoln and Carrie's for a good bye dinner for my mom and Lane. We ate dinner, visited and played botchi ball in the backyard. And then they were off driving to the Oregon coast to go crabbing of course (Lane's favorite).
Britni & her Mama!
But before they left i had to get a picture with my mom! Thank you Thank you for coming! I love having you around!
Grandma & Tes
I just love this picture! So cute! We miss you Grandma!
